Registered in Norway in 1986 as a sole proprietorship attached to Basil Rolandsen, the BA provided commercial advisory and media related services on a part time basis. During 2004–05, the BA operated full time in Dili, East Timor (Timor-Leste), with government and NGO clients.
From 2006 on, the BA has been an administrative part of the Bouvet Foundation, mainly facilitating financial services like PayPal payments and electronic bank payments.
